from Asolo

Beatrice is a performance maker and curator, originally from Asolo, near Venice. After her studies in classics and theater at the University of Padua in Italy, she moved to the Bay Area and worked in editing and marketing at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of San Francisco. Beatrice then served as literary manager and dramaturg at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT, and as director of new work at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.). Her theater translations from the Italian have been produced by Santa Cruz Shakespeare, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and A.C.T. Beatrice curated Práctica, a platform for multidisciplinary artists practicing north and south of the San Diego/Tijuana border, and is ensemble member with Affinity Project. She holds an MA from the Institute of Curatorial Practice in Performance, lectures in theater at UCSD and can be seen on stage around town. In her role at ICC, she curates virtual and live events that encourage an expansive notion of Italianness.
