A native of Reggio Emilia, Simonetta has spent her youth in Milan. For most of her life, she has lived in different countries of the world, where she has continued to teach Italian and work as a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines. She has now settled in San Diego, where she works as a full time mom (of eight!), and part-time teacher and translator.
