General Policy:
Effective 9/23/2024
Group Classes
-
At The Italian Cultural Center of San Diego (“ICC”), we are committed to providing excellent Italian language instruction to our students. To maintain appropriate student interaction, we reserve the right to adjust the length of course if the minimum number of 4 students is not reached. Four is the number of students required for a course to run as scheduled.
-
The reduction in hours and/or weeks is meant to maintain the course even though the curriculum will be covered in a shorter schedule due to the reduced number of students. Students will always be informed via email of any adjustment to their registered course.
-
Please note that the price of a course is calculated not by hour but by the material covered in the class. We appreciate our students understanding and support in helping ICC deliver the best possible learning experience.
-
The table below provides a general outline to students as to how the courses may be adjusted based on student enrollment. Our goal is to provide our students the experience they are looking for without cancelling a class they wish to enroll in.

** If only one student signs up for a course, they will be offered to transfer to another course that has space available or be provided a full refund.
-
If, after the first day of class, it is established (either by teacher or student) that the student is not in the correct level, ICC will assist the student in transferring to a different class at no charge. Any additional course change requests made after the initial transfer are handled on a case-by-case basis and will incur a $25 change fee.
Registration Policy
-
Tuition must be paid in full before the term begins.
-
A discount of 10% is provided each quarter for early registration (specific date is published each quarter) for our 10 or 11-week classes.
Cancellation Policy
-
Group Class Cancellation Policy: The ICC reserves the right to cancel a class as circumstances require and unused tuition will be refunded. If a class is canceled prior to it starting, students will be able to transfer to a different class or receive a full refund.
-
Private Lesson Cancellation Policy: Once a package of private lessons has been purchased and the lessons have commenced, there are no refunds. ICC requires a 24-hour cancellation or rescheduling notice to avoid the student being charged for the canceled or rescheduled lesson.
Refund Policy
-
Tuition will be refunded in full if the student withdraws at least one week before the term begins or if a class is canceled for any reason (see Cancellation Policy above).
-
Students, who withdraw less than one week before the term begins or after the first day of class, will be offered language class credit minus a $25 administration fee or a refund of 60% of class price.
-
No refunds are provided after the second day of class.
-
Any credits granted by ICC must be redeemed for classes within one year from when they were issued.
-
ICC does not prorate or refund any classes missed. We highly recommend if a student needs to miss a class that they let their teacher know so s/he can tell the student of what will be covered during the class.
-
Membership fees are not refundable.
-
Please submit all refund requests via email to info@icc-sd.org.
