Italian Language and Culture School


At the Italian Cultural Center of San Diego, we offer a variety of classes to assist our students in learning the beauty of Italian Language and Culture. Our classes include the traditional language group classes, book clubs, cultural workshops, CILS Preparation Course as well as Private Lessons. Check out our new class offerings below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our classes are designed using the latest language instruction and methodology.
Our classes have a mix of instruction, conversation, and listening skills. We offer in person and online classes to fit your learning style. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advance classes as well as book club, special topic workshops and private lessons.  What makes our classes engaging and fun are our teachers – most of them are native speakers and all of them are highly qualified instructors.  Please visit Our People page to read about our teachers.

We will no longer require students to have a membership to register for our classes. Our membership is now optional, and we still offer the same benefits (please visit our partners page for detail). Continuing to be a member helps us to bring you more value with competitive class prices and highly curated culture events.  To become a member, please go to our membership page.

If you are unsure which course level you should take, please take one of our proficiency tests or contact Gabriella Pozzoli (gabriella.pozzoli@icc-sd.org) to discuss options.

On a case-by-case basis and up to the fourth class of our 10-week courses, we can allow students to register at a prorated class rate. For you to be successful in entering a class late, we ask you to contact our language school co-lead, Gabriella Pozzoli (gabriella.pozzoli@icc-sd.org), to discuss your options prior to any registration of classes. Please note Beginner Classes are not available for late registration.
