Existing and new students are asked to complete the pre-requisite requirement by taking the proficiency assessment before enrolling.
This advanced course is intended for adult learners who want to further develop their fluency, precision, and cultural competence in Italian. Students will work with sophisticated texts, media, and real-world materials to strengthen their ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts. Language functions and vocabulary include presenting well-structured arguments, interpreting complex opinions, discussing societal and cultural topics, and adapting language to formal and informal registers. Grammar content focuses on refining advanced structures such as reported speech, and cohesive devices for fluent discourse. The course emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural reflection, and the use of authentic language in professional and social situations.
Class Schedule:
Every Thursday: 5:30 – 7:00 PM (online) with Gabriella as your instructor beginning on January 15, 2026, and ending on March 19, 2026 (10 weeks).
Required Textbook or Book Club Reading:
Books are not included in the registration price and ICC does not sell textbooks.
Book: Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano 3 by Edilingua (unità 6, 7, 8, 9, 10). The textbook is available at Libreria Pino (get book here) or your favorite book source.
